By taking the Plan to Play Pact, we all promise to leave Central Washington better than we found it. Here are a few ways you can go the extra mile while you get your miles in:

Carpool with your friends to extend the good times and save on gas money while also limiting carbon dioxide production and preventing overcrowding at your destination’s parking lot.
If there are well-maintained trails, use them. Don’t take other paths, even if you’re not the one blazing them. Continuing to travel on makeshift trails will cause further soil erosion and trampling of natural flora.
Bring an extra bag so that you can not only pack your own garbage out but grab a little extra as well. Or, make a game out of it! Commit to picking up three pieces of trash per hike. It takes little effort but can have a big impact.
